AS A FRIGGIN DOG!

WE'VE BEEN SICK FOR THE LAST WEEK, and it is not fun at all. Of course. But more than that, we can't actually go to the doctor. Which is kinda frustrating. The thing is: you need to be registered with your local doctor in order to get an appointment. But in order to be registered you need to get on a waiting list, which can be months long. And even if you are registered I asked for an appointment to see a doctor on tuesday and they said I could see on the following monday (this was before they found out I wasn't registered [and when they did find out they hung up on me!]).

Anyway if anyone knows a home recipe for fighting a flu, headaches, migraines, body aches, and other nasties, please let me know. I'm drinking lots of ginger tea, trying to eat chicken soup, and toast, but it is barely working. Also, we're heavily dosed up on medicines recommended by a pharmacist.

Anyway, it's back to work tomorrow. Need to be there to help out, to do some work (really interesting projects) and also to make some money!

UPDATE: We're off to a walk–in clinic! WOOT! Hopefully we won't be surrounded by crack dealers, prostitutes and poor people. HA! Just kidding, poor people are fine. But those other two, I dunno. Anyway if this clinic is anything like the ones in ER or Scrubs we're in for a good time.

BUT... surely the UNDERGROUND trains still work in the rain right? And that I shouldn't have to walk to work in that rain? Right?

UPDATE THE BLOG HE SAYS

FINE. It's updated see? I don't really have anything to report though. Work is going fine. I'm still freelance but they're really pleased with my work and have told me they want me to stay for as long as possible. The head of S&S has seen my work and says many good things, apparently there were even talks of it outside of our office. But aside from work, I have done absolutely nothing. I didn't even get a chance to hang out with Linus while he was here. And I'm working today, a weekend, having worked yesterday too. Which is fine because the work needs to be done, but annoying because it's a weekend.

I did make a cool case for my iPod nano from a nintendo controller. I'll post that onto Flickr soon. Other than that... unfortunately, nothing to report. And it might be like that for a little while. It's quite busy at S&S. Very busy actually! BUT I should be able to post up my work soon... in the next month or so hopefully!

WORST. SIMPSONS MOVIE. EVER.

IT'S NOT THAT IT WASN'T FUNNY, WHICH IS WAS, IT'S THAT IT WASN'T GOOD. Well, no, to be fair it was fine. It just wasn't good. The story was ok, not bad at all. And it's not that it was stretched out, it's that it wasn't deep enough. There was no real depth to the storyline. It was developed fine, it all made sense, but nothing was developed properly.

As you'd expect all the jokes centre around Homer being stupid. Which is fine as a surface level joke, but there wasn't any truly genius jokes involving references to other films (like the epidsode with Marge in A Street Car Named Desire references Citizen Kane) OR any funny signs (like Hairy Shearers barber). Generally it wasn't up to the standards of seasons 4-8, as expected. It was however a lot better than most of the newer episodes... There was a single overall storyline at least.

And none of the other characters outside the family, with the exception of Flanders, said more and a single line. And I'm suprised on how many celebrities WEREN'T in it. Tom Hanks has a funny line though.

My rating is either: ★ if you expected a lot, or ★★★ if you expected crap.

I'VE USED (RIPPED OFF) LINUS'S TECHNIQUE for treating photo's to look like A Scanner Darkly (version 1), and modified it pretty heavily. It looks really nice though.

THERE IS A TUBE STRIKE. 3,000,000 people are annoyed. I'm one of them. It'll be untill friday, but also possibly next week too. So hooray! It's the kids that are hurting most in this. Why won't anyone think of them?
