DIABETES-A-LICIOUS

Overdose

MY PARENTS SENT ME 11lb's OF CANDY FOR HALLOWEEN! 11 pounds is 5kg! It's crazy! CRAZILY AWESOME!!!! Thanks mom and dad! And never do this again! I can't eat this much! And all of my friends over here hate Root Beer. I have 5 pounds of Candy Corn, 5 of Root Beer Barrels and 1 of Tootsie Rolls. It's great.

I am still debating whether to give it out to the local kids, but I think they are too stupid to appreciate it. Plus it costs nearly US$80 for the whole lot, AND it came from America, went to IRAN then to Ireland. (My dad selected the wrong country!) Totally awesome.

FORT POLIO (UPDATED 22/10)

Stitch

WORKING ON SOME STUFF FOR MY FOLIO (like the Mobii + Glow IDs), so in the next few weeks there will be more of my work. This poster is a make-up-brief as a way of getting some more color into my folio. At the moment I have for posters in there, all brown. So I needed to get some color in. I'm working on an Adidas campaign as well (just another make-up-brief).

Gimme some feedback if you can. And maybe some suggestions too....

Adidas

Here is a sample of the adidas thing I'm doing. It's to celebrate the 35 Year anniversary of 'The Superstar'. So it's a CD-case with some stuff and stuff. Basically I just wanted to try the type. What do _you think?

THE PLAN

World-Map-2

WE'RE GOING TO APPLY FOR AMERICAN AND UK WORK VISA'S ON MONDAY. The plan is if UNG gets rejected from the US visa (which is likely; you need a job before you can get a visa, and you need a visa before you can get a job!) we'll go to London. From there we can travel around Europe and north Africa. But we still plan on going to New York first, and travelling across the country. We'll be leaving for NY around mid-to-late-January.

I'm really nervous about the money, but REALLY excited about travelling.

WHERE ARE YOU BATMAN?

Bat-Man

I DON'T WANT TO DWELL ON THE BAD, but... I'm getting sick of the neighborhood kids. So far we've been egged twice, saw someone selling cocaine, I've been picked on for being Jewish, UNG has been teased for being asian many times (normally they think she's chinese), we got off a bus and someone was beaten up right in front of us, fireworks are constantly going off and lastly and most excitingly; a car was blown up. Fun times for all.

WELCOME TO JURASSIC PARK

bday2

I COMPLETELY FORGOT THAT THE BLOG WAS TWO YEARS OLD TODAY. So, um, yeah, the blog is two years old today! Happy Birthday Mondayne! Hooray for trivial mondaynity! Uh, that's all. There's cake at the back, take a peice and some punch too.

Hey. Thanks for taking the time to read this so called 'blog'.

I don't really have much to say, now that I've been put on the spot. I just want someone to hear this. Even though it's really nothing. But isn't that why people do this anyway? They want to be heard.

So, I guess the purpose of this blog is to tell some jokes, share some laughs, and all the etceteras. But I have a feeling it's gonna be either a lot of me whinging about crap, or I'll never post a new message again. Either way, it's a good waste of time, for both me and you.

Well thus concludes POST #1 of the Mondayne Web Log.
I'm Elliott Scott, signing off.

I guess a lot has happened since this time last year huh?
Met a girl. Fell in love. Recovered from depression (pretty much). Graduated. Moved to Ireland. Saw an old friend I hadn't seen in years. Moved in with the (unamed) girl. Got a job. Left the job. Got another job. Went to London. Went to Belfast. Went to Amsterdam. Saw an old friend I hadn't seen in years. That's about it I guess. It seemed like a lot more in my head.

Thanks for reading!

WORKIN'

MobiiAd

LINUS ASKED ME TODAY WHY I HAVEN'T SHOWN ANY OF MY WORK ON THE BLOG. There's a few reasons:

1. It's not interesting, and it's not work showing.

2. I'm not allowed. I didn't sign any confidentiality agreements, but I don't want to get sued either.

3. I haven't really finished anything either. I've been working on the same projects for months, not getting anywhere fast. There is one project that I'm working on for a spa-treatment and it's working really well, and it even looks un-horrible, but we're not anywhere near complete. The client has requested the 19th change to the logo, and we can't continue with the inside until the logo is worked out. I was hoping to have it done by the time I left, but I don't think that's going to happen.

In the meantime, I will be updating my portfolio, incorporating lots of new things, so you can a look at that when I'm done. But that won't be until we get back from Paris.

And just for the record, NO I did NOT smoke any pot or visit any prostitutes. I did walk past loads of Coffeeshops (as opposed to Coffeehaus's which actually have coffee) and got a bit of a headspin. AND we did walk around the Red Light District which was weird and awkward, and nerdily we were talking about exestentialism and philosophy. NERDS!

A YEAR TOO LATE

MobiiV100000
GlowV1000000
Remember desiging the mobile phone identities for ComDes4? There was the fancy one (Glow/Ginza) and the cheap one (Mobii/Mobilize), well I was never really all that happy with the work I did, so I'm doing it again, with one years experience under my belt.

I've only being playing around for an hour or so, but I've done the Mobii identity with beautiful textures and rich colors (making it classy instead) and some whizz-bang graphics for Glow. Tell me what you think if it all so far.

Getting sick of Dublin. Of working. Of wasting time. Missing home. My friends and family. Logical banks. Sunshine.
