Getting sick of Dublin. Of working. Of wasting time. Missing home. My friends and family. Logical banks. Sunshine.

The banks are unlogical (or illogical) EXAMPLE 1:

INTERNET BANKING
In Australia if you want to use internet banking you can call the bank and they will set it up for you. At worst you need to go into the bank and fill out a form. You are issued, sometimes straight away, a PIN number which you can change at any time.

Over here you need to;
A) Go into the bank with your bank card, account details, passport and proof of address and fill out 3 forms.
B) Wait 2 weeks while they process your papers.
C) Recieve confirmation that you have been set up. You will be issued a security number.
D) Call the bank with the security number.
E) Wait 2 weeks for them to send out the details on how to use the internet banking.
F) Log into the internet bank.
G) Request your PIN number.
H) Wait 2 weeks while your PIN number is issued.
I) Realise that your PIN number doesnt remain the same, it works on a predeterminned use-once basis. You cannot change it.
J) Look confused at a card with your 100 PIN numbers on it.
K) Use up your 100 PIN numbers and apply for new card.
L) Apply for new PIN number card.
M) Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

****** The thing is, EVERYTHING in Ireland is like this! EVERYTHING!

Secure, Unplanned, complex, theoretically works, impractical, yet to a degree pretty smart.

Sounds like my kinda place.
